Yes, it's that time again! NELIYI's membership year runs from the start of October; joining or renewing now will secure your membership through to the end of September 2013. If you are a NELIYI member wishing to renew, or someone wishing to join, you can pay for your membership subscription online here. Just click on the 'Joining NELIYI' tab above to see how simple it is.
Remember, being a NELIYI member gets you great discounts at our workshops, and gives you membership of IY(UK) too (which is obligatory for Iyengar yoga teachers and trainees). Oh, and you receive Iyengar Yoga News magazine twice a year. At only £18, it's quite a bargain.

Those of you who have been to classes and workshops with Uday Bhosale over the last few months while he has been in the UK will no doubt want to wish him well as he is returning to Pune in a month's time. We have enjoyed having him here tremendously.
There's still time to catch one or more of his Intermediate classes in North East London during July at TIYS in East Finchley at 1.30 on Tuesday 10, 17 and 24 July. More information at http://www.tiys.co.uk/ or contact Lisa Morris at email@example.com
As numbers are limited, please be sure to book with Lisa in advance.

Thanks to Gerry Chambers and Lynda Purvis for a wonderful and inspirational workshop at movingartsbase last weekend. Gerry and Lynda combined asana and pranayama teaching which they told us was based on their recent experiences in classes with the Iyengar family in Pune, India over last winter.
We hope they will run another workshop for us again in the future.
Thanks also to Tara and Nigel at www.yogajunction.co.uk who kindly lent us their equipment for the weekend.

Yes, you can now join NELIYI by making an online payment throught this website, and will be able to book and pay for workshops online here too.
So, if you are not yet a NELIYI member, you can click on the Joining NELIYI tab above and take advantage of our special part-year discounted membership rate offer. If you are a member already, we should be offering online renewal by the time the current membership year ends this autumn, so join this online website group ready for that.
As new workshops are added to our online calendar of events, they will have a 'Buy tickets' button that you can click on to book and pay for your place. Convenient for us all.

The NELIYI membership year starts 1st October, which is when subscriptions become due. Normally we announce the next year's subscription rates at our AGM, but we didn't do so this year, due to various uncertainties about future costs (magazine postage rises, etc.). However, the Committee has now discussed and decided the membership fee for next year (Oct 2012 - 2013), and has tried very hard to keep the inevitable rise as little as possible. The membership subscription fee for NELIYI's 2012-13 year will be only £18, which we think will keep it level with or lower than IYA's individual membership rate - so NELIYI membership will continue to be a great bargain. And October's still a long way away :-)

It's been a long time now since NELIYI had its own proper website up and running, but we're finally getting back off the yoga mat (and away from other distractions) and onto the computer and sorting it out. It may be something of an evolutionary process, rather than a big bang of re-creation (unless someone out there is a webtech-minded enthusiast who wants to come and help us?). So please bear with the gradual website changes, and please do send in your feedback, using this website's Contact button or in the Members' Forum on this website. Thanks.
