This Continuing Pranayama practice series of four sessions is a linked set of practical classes for experienced practitioners, including those who attended any previous NELIYI pranayama course.
This series will build on the foundations of pranayama practice already established, and give most of the class time over to practising, rather than talking about theory or principles. A range of pranayama techniques will be covered, with the focus on learning through doing. The sessions will also include some appropriate asana practice, postures to open the chest, to prepare for sitting, and to bring quietness.
Anyone who has done some Iyengar yoga pranayama classes and practice, and is familiar with Ujjayi pranayama, is welcome to book for these sessions. If you have a serious medical condition, or have any queries, please contact us first so that this can be discussed with the teacher.
Ros is an Intermediate Senior Level 3 teacher, who has been teaching Iyengar yoga for over forty years. She has made visits to our parent Institute in Pune, and learned pranayama with BKS Iyengar himself, as well as with Geeta and Prashant Iyengar and other senior teachers in India and in the UK.
These four classes are designed to be taken together as a set, a developing series, so you cannot book for individual sessions. Numbers are limited, and advance booking is essential, so please complete your booking as soon as you can.
The course costs: NELIYI members*: £40 / NELIYI members concessions: £32 / Non-members: £60
(NB the concessionary rate, for those on low income, is only available to NELIYI members).
